And we're open

The new look Laynes is now up and running; over twice the size and three times as many seats with an extended food menu to match!

Laynes Extension

We've finally made a start on extending Laynes into what used to be The Element Hair Salon next door. It looks like a total bomb site right now.

It's been a long time coming and the delays have been difficult to stomach at times, but now it's all stations go. The new year should/will see us come back out with a bigger better Laynes!

FOOD SERVED WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY & FRIDAY DURING OCTOBER 2pm - 7pm

We're trying something a little different in October. Led by head chef Dan Triplehorn we'll be using Laynes to showcase what we think can be done to help make lunch and early evening 'small plate' dining a little more interesting in Leeds. Offerings will change regularly so please get in touch or see the menu's in the shop to see what we have going on

Leeds Dock

We now have a 'pop-up' espresso bar situated on the The Boulevard at Leeds Dock, right by the Royal Armouries Museum.

We'll be here a couple months...we may even extend that to a lot longer!

Monday to Friday, 7.30am til 2pm serving coffee and cake.

Locals Guide...

Leeds' Art Hostel had a write up in the Guardian today and they asked me to put together a bit of a locals guide to feature along side. Take a look here for a list places that touches the surface of some of the good stuff going on around the city

Sheaf St Cafeteria

Today is our last day as the operators within the Sheaf Street Cafeteria at Duke Studios before handing it over to Grub and Grog who start here the following week. It's been a great run for us and we've worked out a lot about what people want from a menu that covers breakfast and lunch. We're going to take this knowledge into Laynes itself and serve a small breakfast/lunch menu starting Wednesday 25th of May.

We're gonna give this a go 'til we open the new site...we may even keep it on forever and ever.

A NEW WEBSITE

5 years after opening it seemed a little obvious that it was time to give the website a bit of an overhaul.

It's a lot easier to make websites these days...I think.
